Funky Fremantle

October 17-19, 2015

Lana and I rented a car and headed down to Fremantle.  We stayed Platinum Suites - which the owner - Vicky said is used a lot by business people but we thought it was a great place to stay - it was similar to an upscale B&B.  We were able to walk to everything but also could take the free day bus around the town.

We did all the popular sights, such as Little Creature brewery, the Round House, the UNESCO site - the Prison, the Fremantle Market and even found a Target.!  We ate at Little Creatures, Bathers Beach House - right on the beach - great sunsets and Bread in Common - this one is great for all meals!

One day we took a road trip down to Rockingham to go on a boat tour to see dolphins, sea lions and little penguins - it was a successful day!  We used Dolphin Adventure Cruise - at first we didn't see any dolphins and the company extended our trip and at last we saw about 4 dolphins catching fish.  It was great.  Although Lana dropped her external charger into the sea!

We also saw  a variety of birds as well as sea lions.

We were dropped off at Penguin Island - where we saw little "fairy" penguins in an enclosure - but supposedly there were a few hundred around the island.
