The Private Island - The Big Birthday!

Sometimes it is nice to go back to where I have been before.  Although I do try to experience and explore new places and cultures, going back to The Private Island was wonderful!

This year Amy was turning 40 and there were 14 of us joining her to celebrate this big day.  We met at the ferry terminal on Friday afternoon and after 3 boat rides and a bus we stepped foot on the cool sands of the private beach/island about 10pm.

Andrea, her friend Cathy and I were occupying the Big House further away from the eating and partying headquarters, which was just fine by me this year!

We had a late dinner, had a few drinks and then hit the sack!







It was a perfect weekend! The weather was gorgeous!  We knew where everything was so we could just sit back and relax; I had 2 full body massages over the 2 days!

The theme this year was originally Castaways but we basically turned it into a Hawaiian tropical theme! 
The rainbow 7 layer cake was delicious and the fireworks proved to be another successful added bonus!

F1 - Formula 1

I was hoping/planning on attending an event of F1 but I never really got around to buying a ticket.  But as luck would have it, a ticket, a VIP ticket luckily fell into my lap!  Thanks to an ole GV friend, now CIS friend Amy Williams Long.  Amy, Andrea and I went to F1 in style!

 We were at the Friday evening preliminaries but it really wasn't about watching car races, it was a social thing!
